Objects to be touched. The small metal parts are
mobile. They slide on wires, making it possible for the spectator to
decide where to leave them. It also has a series of pendulums that can
be handled, balanced, turned and in some cases, their places changed.
I work
with vertical and horizontal axis. The lines in the vertical axis are
strained by pendulums. The metal parts, on the horizontal axis, slide on
wire. These metal parts and pendulums contrast with the line, creating a
pair of the complementary opposites:
-
The pendulums produce the linearity
when straining the line, emphasizing it .
-
The metal parts function in
the opposite way. The line denies the effect of the force of the
weight. It remains the accent in the linearity.
The
structures are generated of static and rational form. But, at the same
time and in antagonistic way, they offer the possibility of the movement
and the emotion of the observer.
The
objects become independent of the author. However, to become really
complete, they are dependant on the observer. The development of my
proposal depends directly on the exhibition to the public. To have this
questioning evolve, I need the answer of the spectators when they are
interacting with the objects.
